Overview
The WordToPlural function takes an incoming word and converts it from singular to plural.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = WordToPlural ( string data );
Parameters
data
A string containing source word. The string cannot be larger than 512 bytes.
Return Value
Returns a string with an adjusted word. If the function fails, the same data is returned and an error condition is set. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
The function employs simple rules to convert the word from singular to plural. A base English dictionary is employed for invariant plural words like ‘deer’. For other words, the English language rules are applied without checking the actual word against a dictionary.
