PoolGetReadPosition Function

Overview

The PoolGetReadPosition function gets the next read position for the pool.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

int = PoolGetReadPosition ( handle hPool );

Parameters

hPool

A handle specifying the String Pool Object.

Return Value

Returns an int as the next position for the reading of lines for a pool or a formatted error code on failure.

Remarks

This function reads the current position to read data from the pool. The position can be set in the ReadLine function.

Related Functions

PoolAppend — Appends a string at the current position and returns pool offset.

ReadLine — Reads the next line of data from a Basic File or Pool Object, or, reads a specified line from a Mapped Text or Edit Object.
