Make64Word Function

Overview

The Make64Word function creates a qword from a series of bytes, words, or dwords high to low.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

qword = Make64Word ( byte data, ... byte data );

qword = Make64Word ( word data, word data, word data, word data );

qword = Make64Word ( dword data, dword data );

Parameters

data

A byte, word, or dword.

Return Value

Returns a qword comprised of the data elements.

Remarks

The Make64Word function converts a series of byte, word, or dword data types into a 64 bit qword. The sequence of parameters (either 8 byte parameters, 4 word parameters, or 2 dword parameters) must occur in high to low order. Combined these values will comprise the 64-bit quad word. If the wrong combination of dword, word, and byte parameters is passed to the function, the resulting qword will be truncated to 64 bits. Passing the Make64Word function an inappropriate parameter (such as a string) results in a hard runtime error, and the script will abort.
