Overview
The EntitiesToUTF function takes an 8-bit ASCII string with character entity encoding and converts it to an 8-bit UTF-8 encoded string.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = EntitiesToUTF ( string data );
Parameters
data
A string containing text to convert.
Return Value
Returns a string containing the converted string. Use the IsError, IsNotError and GetLastError functions to determine if an error occurred and to retrieve a formatted error code.
Any errors encountered during the parsing of the character entities are counted and returned in the last error.
Remarks
Any syntax errors in character entities cause the character error count to be incremented and the existing character text to be passed through without alteration.
Character entities can be SGML/HTML/XML numeric syntax as decimal or hex or can be HTML 5 character entity names.
