Overview
The CallapsePath function takes a source string and reduces the path to force it to fit into a specified size. This is useful when displaying a path in a limited space and the path needs to be reduced in characters.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = CollapsePath ( string name, int size );
Parameters
name
A string specifying the source path.
size
An int specifying the number of characters to limit the path.
Return Value
A string containing a smaller version of the path.
Remarks
Note that the resulting is not a valid path but a display shorthand. For example:
C:\Windows\System32\AppSysData\Vendor Specific\nsys1.dll
Can be changed to:
C:\Windows\..\nsys1.dll
