Chapter Nine — Dialog Functions (continued)
Overview
The ComboBoxFindItem function analyzes the first word of every entry in the list box portion and attempts to match it to the target string.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = ComboBoxFindItem ( int id, string data );
Parameters
id
An int containing the control ID of a combo box.
data
A string to locate within the combo box list section. The string should not contain spaces.
Return Value
Returns an int containing the index of the first item that matches data or an error on failure. Common error codes are as follows: ERROR_RANGE if id is an invalid control ID for the open dialog or ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE if no dialog is open. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
The ComboBoxFindItem function finds the first string in the list box portion that matches the specified string. The search is not case-sensitive.
