Overview
The DataControlGetData function retrieves the content of a data control as a specified format.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = DataControlGetData ( int id, [dword type] );
Parameters
id
An int containing the control ID of the data control.
type
An optional dword specifying the type of data to export using a file type code. The allowed values are FT_CSV, FT_HTML, FT_TEXT and FT_XDS_II. The default is FT_CSV.
Return Value
A string containing the control’s data in a structured format. The string will be empty on error. Since an empty string may be valid data, the GetLastError, IsError or IsNotError function must be used to determine if an error occurred.
Remarks
Exported data can be CSV, Text, HTML or XDS vII. The only format that carries all information about a control is XDS. Text and CSV are encoded as UTF-8.
Note that the XDS format is returned as the sheet only without a workbook container.
