DataControlSetStatusWindow Function
Overview
The DataControlSetStatusWindow function sets a window handle or static control as the status message display for Edit Control actions.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = DataControlSetStatusWindow ( int id, handle window | int sid );
Parameters
id
An int containing the control ID of the Data Control.
window
A handle specifying a window to receive status messages. Or,
sid
A int specifying the id of a static or edit control.
Return Value
Returns ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code on failure. Common error codes are as follows: ERROR_RANGE if id is an invalid control ID for the open dialog or ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE if no dialog is open. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
The status window is used to display information about edit actions within the Data Control. For example, if the amount of text for a control is limited, with on sheet editing is being conducted, the status window can show the character limit.
A status string must be set for this window to display data.
