Chapter Nine — Dialog Functions (continued)
Overview
The TrackbarSetBuddy function sets a static control as buddy window and orients it at either end of the trackbar.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = TrackbarSetBuddy ( int id, int side, handle control | int tip_id );
Parameters
id
An int containing the control ID of a trackbar control.
side
An int specifying the side of the trackbar that the buddy window will be attached. The values are: TB_SB_RIGHT, TB_SB_LEFT, TB_SB_TOP and TB_SB_BOTTOM.
control
A window handle for the control. Or,
tip_id
An int specifying the ID of the control on the page.
Return Value
An int as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code on failure. Common errors include: ERROR_RANGE if id is an invalid control ID for the open dialog or ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE if no dialog is open.
Remarks
TrackbarSetBuddy assigns a window as the buddy window for a trackbar control. Trackbar buddy windows are automatically displayed in a location relative to the control's orientation (horizontal or vertical).
