ImageExportJPEG Function

Overview

The ImageExportJPEG function exports an image as a JPEG file.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

int = ImageExportJPEG ( handle hImage, string filename, [int quality] );

Parameters

hImage

A handle to an Image object.

filename

A string containing a fully qualified filename with path.

quality

A optional integer specifying the quality (or compression of the image). The value can be from 1 (least quality) to 100 (best quality) with 75 being default.

Return Value

Returns an int value as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code.

Remarks

JPEG employs a loss compression method, and this value sets the aggressiveness of the compression. Since it is loss compression, once a quality setting is used, original image information will be lost and subsequently increasing the quality will not improve the image. The quality setting does not affect the Image object, only the exported data.
