Chapter Eleven — SGML Functions (continued)
Overview
The HTMLIsInlineElement function checks a specified token or the currently loaded element for being an inline type of element.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
boolean = HTMLIsInlineElement ( handle hObject | TOKEN token );
Parameters
hObject
A handle to an SGML Object. Or,
token
An TOKEN (or dword) specifying an HTML element token.
Return Value
A boolean value as non-zero for a match condition or FALSE on no match or failure. See HTML Element Testers for HTML_IS_ definitions of non-zero conditions. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve a formatted error code or additional information. If a CSS display override applies, the PK_DISPLAY_ code will be placed into the last error.
Remarks
When specifying an object, the currently loaded element is tested. In addition the CSS ‘display’ type is tested which will override the element type. If the type overrides the element, the last error will be set to a PK_DISPLAY_ code. If the type is PK_DISPLAY_INLINE, the function returns HTML_IS_OPEN.
The following items are tested as an inline element:
A ABBR ACRONYM BIG BLINK CITE CODE DFN KBD SAMP VAR
B EM FONT I Q S SMALL STRIKE STRONG SUB SUP TT U
