Chapter Eleven — SGML Functions (continued)
Overview
The XBRLFindContextAxis function looks for a specific axis within a context dataset.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = XBRLFindContextAxis ( string data[], string axis );
Parameters
data
A string array containing a context dataset.
axis
A string specifying the qname of an axis to match.
Return Value
Returns an int as the member position within the dataset or a formatted error code on failure.
Remarks
The XBRLFindContextAxis function makes it easy to find an axis without needing to write Legato code to look at each dimension key name within a context dataset. The result position is not a subscript to the data set but rather the member position starting at 1.
Use the XBRLGetContextMember function to retrieve the specific member from the dataset.
