XBRLGetPresentationEntryCount Function

Overview

The XBRLGetPresentationEntryCount function returns the number of high level entries for the entire presentation.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

int = XBRLGetPresentationEntryCount ( handle hXM, [int index] );

Parameters

hXM

A handle to an XBRL Object containing instance/taxonomy information.

index

An optional int specifying an entry point index to count from. If omitted, the entire count is returned.

Return Value

Returns an int as the count of the number of presentation links loaded or a formatted error code on failure.

Remarks

Presentation entries (or line items) is high level data that is either filled by the XBRLAddPresentationEntry or during post process of a taxonomy using the XBRLPostProcess function.

Entries are store in a single list with null records marking the breaks between presentations. When the index parameter is supplied, items are counted from that position to the next null record or the end of the list, which ever comes first.

The index value should be the le_x key from the presentation master index. See the XBRLGetPresentation function.
