Overview
The OLEIEPostFile function performs a HTTP POST operation to send or retrieve information from a server via a specified Internet Explorer instance.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = OLEIEPostFile ( handle hOLE, string uri, string query,
string data, int size, [string
field]);
Parameters
hOLE
A handle to an open OLE connection to an Internet Explorer instance.
uri
A string specifying the URI to post information.
query
A string specifying the query information. The query must be encoded.
data
A string or char array containing the information to send.
size
An int specifying the size of the information.
field
An optional string specifying the field name for the data parameter.
Return Value
Returns an int as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code on failure.
Remarks
This function returns immediately even if the page has not finished loading. Use the OLEIEIsBusy function to determine the browser state. If not specified the field parameter will use the default value of “file”. The field name is used to link the file data to the query parameter. Data is encoded using multipart form encoding.
