GetMenuFunctionResponse Function

Overview

The GetMenuFunctionResponse function returns the content of the function response buffer. Not all functions load information into this buffer.

string = GetMenuFunctionResponse ( );

Parameters

Return Value

A string containing the response.

Remarks

Not all functions return a response. The response buffer is clear each time a function is run. As such, this function must be run immediately to capture the content.

This function can also be used in the post process portion of a menu hook to examine data from the function that has been hooked, providing that the function loads a response field.

GetMenuFunctionLog — Returns a Log Object handle for the last operation, if available.

GetParameter — Gets a specific parameter name from a property/parameter value list.

HexToInteger — Converts a hex string to a 64-bit integer or quad word.

IsMenuFunctionRepeated — Test whether the current menu function is on a repeat request.

MakeHandle — Converts an integer or formatted string to a handle value. The string can be hex, octal or decimal.

RunMenuFunction — Runs the specified menu function as if it is being run from the ribbon or menu. Dialog and message boxes may appear and suspend the script.

SetMenuResponseParameter — Sets a menu response parameter.

TextToInteger — Converts any integer-style to a number including hex and octal.
