EDGARArchiveGetDocType Function
Overview
The EDGARArchiveGetDocType function retrieves the document type as filed or created by the EDGAR system. The document type is a descriptive code indicating the type of content (i.e., “Ex-10” or “485BPS”).
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = EDGARArchiveGetDocType ( handle hArchive, int index );
Parameters
hArchive
A handle that specifies the EDGAR Archive opened with EDGARArchiveOpen function.
index
An integer specifying a file entry in the mapped object.
Return Value
A string containing the EDGAR document type. If an error occurs, the returned string will be empty. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error details.
Remarks
Document types are structured and specified by the EDGAR specification.
