Chapter Twenty-three — XBRL Functions (continued)
Overview ****?
The XBRLViewGetObject function retrieves an XBRL Object from an XBRL View. An XBRL Object treats the entire set of tabs and presentations as one object.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
handle = XBRLViewGetObject ( handle hwView );
Parameters
hwView
A handle specifying a window handle to a view. This can be retrieved by using the Edit Window functions.
Return Value
Returns a handle to an XBRL Object or NULL_HANDLE on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information. When processing has been completed, the script should use the CloseHandle function to discard the handle.
Remarks
Unlike a Data View Object, the XBRL Object deals with the accessing of higher level XBRL data constructs.
