23.10 Inline XBRL

23.10.1 Overview

As Inline XBRL functionality is added to GoFiler, these functions will be expanded. This section lists various functions to explore and edit inline XBRL files.

Note that there are two levels to iXBRL access: low level, embedded with SGML and parsing support and high level supported by the iXBRL editor iXBRL View.

All functions are in beta or prototype mode.

23.10.2 Reading

iXBRLCreateObject — Creates an iXBRL object based on a specific file.

23.10.3 Writing

Writing is not supported at this juncture.

23.10.4 Low Level Functions

iXBRLAddItem — Adds an item to the inline XBRL map for later writing.

iXBRLCommit — Commits any pending changes to the associated object.

iXBRLCreateObject — Creates an iXBRL object based on a specific file.

iXBRLGetItemCount — Returns the number of items in the map.

iXBRLGetItemProperties — Returns the properties for a specified item position in the map.

23.10.5 High Level Functions

iXBRLValidate — Validates file using application iXBRL validation.
