24.6 EDGAR Validation Interface

24.6.1 Overview

Version 1.0 of Legato exposes a number of EDGAR validation functions and options for testing EDGAR data. Additional functions will be added in later versions. Any developer in need of specific validation should contact Technical Support and the specific validator will be exposed in a regular release.

24.6.2 Functions

EDGARValidateDate — Validates date with optional delimiter character.

EDGARValidateFilename — Tests a filename for complying with EDGAR syntax.

EDGARValidateNumber — Validates a string (number) with options for whole, fractional numbers and options.

EDGARValidateURL — Validates a string as being an acceptable link URL.

EDGARValidateValue — Validates a string (number) with optional EDGAR Schema type.
