IsValidSGMLStartCharacter Function
Overview
The IsValidSGMLCharacter function tests if a character is valid as the starting character of an SGML element name or attribute.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
boolean = IsValidSGMLStartCharacter ( char value );
Parameters
value
A char to test. The character can be any type that will resolve to an integer.
Return Value
Returns TRUE if value can begin an SGML element or attribute or FALSE if it cannot.
Remarks
Only numeric (0-9) characters are permitted. Alphabetic characters (A-Z, a-z), control, white space, special, and extended ANSI or ISO Latin characters will all cause the IsValidSGMLCharacter function to return FALSE.
