Overview
The ConformAddressString function converts an address line or city to upper- and lower-case by using internal dictionaries and special rules.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = ConformAddressString ( string data, [boolean force] );
Parameters
data
A string as the source data with a maximum size of 256 characters.
force
An optional boolean flag to force the function to disregard the dictionaries. If set to TRUE, the function will force the terms to upper- and lower-case.
Return Value
Returns a string with adjusted text case.
Remarks
This function essentially makes each word in the data string initial-caps, if forced, or matches the word to how it appears in the appropriate dictionary. Certain words, if found with a case match in the abbreviated word pronoun dictionary, are not adjusted. When adjusting a city name, always use the force option.
