Overview
The StringToDuration function converts an English language string to an ISO XML duration string.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = StringToDuration ( string source );
Parameters
source
A string containing a duration for example, “two years”.
Return Value
Returns a string containing an XML duration such as “P2Y” or an empty string on failure. Use the GetLastError and GetLastErrorMessage function to return a formatted error code and additional information.
Remarks
The StringToDuration function takes a natural language string and converts it into a machine readable duration string.
