Overview
The GetUNCLabel function retrieves a drive’s share volume label and UNC path.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
string = GetUNCLabel ( string path );
Parameters
path
A string containing a qualified path.
Return Value
Returns a string containing the share label and UNC path of the drive or an empty string on failure. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
Remarks
The GetUNCLabel function will return the label and UNC path of both local drives and mapped network drives. The volume can be empty. To get only the UNC label, use the GetUNCLabelOnly function.
