Overview
The IsPathQualifiedWeb function tests if a string contains a common URI scheme.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
boolean = IsPathQualifiedWeb ( string path );
Parameters
path
A string containing the path to test.
Return Value
Returns TRUE if path contains a web root designation or FALSE if it does not.
Remarks
The path parameter must contain a scheme. There are hundreds of schemes published with the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. The IsPathQualifiedWeb function is not universal and handles only common scheme types as follows: http, https, ftp, gopher mailto, telnet news, file, wias, nntp, propero, or javascript.
The function does not test if the path is valid or properly formatted.
