Overview
The IsPathRoot tests if a string contains a UNC reference.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
boolean = IsPathUNC ( string path );
Parameters
path
A string containing a path.
Return Value
Returns TRUE if path contains a UNC or FALSE if it does not.
Remarks
The IsPathUNC function will return TRUE if the path parameter contains a UNC or if it leads with a slash or backslash. This function does not test the validity of the path or if the path exists. Use the DoesPathExist function to determine if the specified path exists in the file system.
