Overview
The UpdateEditWindow function updates the edit window and repaints as required.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = UpdateEditWindow ( handle hObject );
Parameters
hObject
A handle to an Edit Object or an Edit View.
Return Value
Returns an int as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code on failure.
Remarks
The UpdateEditWindow function updates those characteristics that have changed via the Edit Object. For example, if the caret has changed position, it will be updated. Once an object has been updated, it will reset the pending update flags. Immediately calling the UpdateEditWindow function again will be essentially ignored.
Note that closing an Edit Object will update the associated window as well. For operations that change the edit window and release the edit object upon completion of the task, calling the UpdateEditWindow function is superfluous. If no changes have been made to the object, the window will not be updated.
