DataControlComboGetString Function

Overview

The DataControlComboGetString function will retrieve a string from from the list portion of a combobox.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

string = DataControlComboGetString ( int id, int row, int column, int index );

Parameters

id

An int containing the control ID of the data control.

row

A zero-based int specifying the row.

column

A zero-based int specifying the column.

index

An int specifying the index position to retrieve.

Return Value

Returns a string as a copy of the list portion or an empty string on on failure. Use the GetLastError to retrieve an error code. Common error codes are as follows: ERROR_RANGE if id is an invalid control ID for the open dialog, or ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE if no dialog is open. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.
