DataControlComboSelectItem Function

Overview

The DataControlComboSelectItem function selects an item from the list ports of the combobox.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

int = DataControlComboSelectItem ( int id, int row, int column, int index );

int = DataControlComboSelectItem ( int id, int row, int column, string item );

Parameters

id

An int containing the control ID of the data control.

row

A zero-based int specifying the row.

column

A zero-based int specifying the column.

index

An int as a zero-based index of an item to select.

item

A string specifying an item to select. The item must exist.

Return Value

Returns an int as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code on failure. Common error codes are as follows: ERROR_EOD if index specifies a position out of range or the item is not found, ERROR_RANGE if id is an invalid control ID for the open dialog, or ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE if no dialog is open. Use the GetLastError function to retrieve error information.

Remarks

Selecting bring the item into the edit port of the cell.
