Chapter Eleven — SGML Functions (continued)
Overview
The SGMLNormalizeErrors function scans the currently parsed tag parameters (attributes and properties) and removes any erroneous items.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = SGMLNormalizeErrors ( handle hSGML );
Parameters
hSGML
A handle to an SGML Object.
Return Value
An int as the count of the parameters in error removed or a formatted error code.
Remarks
Normalization removes the erroneous items. Errors are detected and marked during the parse process by checking the attributes and properties against the DTD and checking the values for such parameters. Flags are also set in the element status which can be retrieved with the SGMLGetItemResult function.
Not all errors are detected.
Normalizing error does not removed the errors from the SGML log for the element.
