23.4 XBRL Context Functions

23.4.1 Overview

XBRL contexts basically describe the date(s) or period of a fact value by placing it in ‘context’. The contexts are located on the “Contexts” view (tab).

The provided functions allow for easy access to the context employed in a report.

23.4.2 Functions

XBRLViewGetContextCount — Gets the total number of contexts.

XBRLViewGetContext — Gets the properties for a context by either position index or context ID string.

XBRLViewGetContexts — Returns all the contexts by context ID.

XBRLViewGetPrimaryContext — Returns the name of the primary (DEI) context.
