Chapter Five — General Functions (continued)
Overview
The IsFalse function tests a string as being the equivalent of logical FALSE.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
boolean = IsFalse ( string value );
Parameters
value
A string to test.
Return Value
Returns TRUE if the string matches various conditions for false (see the Remarks section) or FALSE if it does not.
Remarks
The IsFalse function is useful when an incoming answer or result may be a false condition but may be indicated in a number of ways. In addition to a string containing zero, the following strings count as false:
false | [_] |
no | [ ] |
n | |_| |
_ | | | |
“ ” | /_/ |
f | / / |
The IsFalse function is case-insensitive; both “false” and “FALSE” will cause the function to return TRUE.
