Chapter Eleven — SGML Functions (continued)
Overview
The CSSSetProperties function takes a property array and replaces any CSS properties in an SGML Object’s current element.
Syntax/Parameters
Syntax
int = CSSSetProperties ( handle hSGML, string[] properties );
Parameters
hSGML
A handle to a SGML Object.
properties
A string array containing a standard CSS data in the form of element each with key name as the property name and data.
Return Value
An int as ERROR_NONE or a formatted error code on failure. For syntax errors, the lower word will contain the offending array index.
Remarks
The CSSSetProperties function differs from the CSSLayerProperties function in that all existing CSS properties in the element data are deleted prior to adding in the declaration.
All CSS properties are cleared prior to applying the new properties. Data values must be well formatted and match the requirements of the associated property. Shorthand values are expanded just as if parsed from a source document.
For example:
list["text-align"] = "center"; list["color"] = "red"; list["margin-left"] = "12pt"; CSSSetProperties(hSGML, list);
The CSSLayerDeclaration and CSSSetDeclaration functions allow parameters to be adjusted via a string.
