CloseWindow Function

Overview

The CloseWindow function sends a close request (WM_CLOSE message) to the specified window.

Syntax/Parameters

Syntax

int = CloseWindow ( handle hWindow );

Parameters

hWindow

A valid window handle.

Return Value

Returns an int ERROR_NONE or formatted error code. The return error is heavily dependent on the accepting window.

Remarks

The close window allows a close message to be sent to any window as long as the script can access a window’s handle. This can be both powerful and dangerous. Do not use the CloseWindow function to close edit windows.
