The SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets will convene a meeting on April 14, 2023 to consider reopening the comment period for
proposed amendments to Rule 3b-16 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The original comment period for the proposed amendments closed on April 18, 2022.

The Securities Exchange Act defines certain terms used in the statutory definition of “exchange”, and the proposed amendments added the following to the definition:
- systems that offer the use of non-firm trading interest
- communication protocols to connect buyers and sellers of securities
The meeting will take place on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. ET and is free and open for the public to attend on sec.gov.
