A new version of the GoFiler Updater Utility has been released to address the instability issues introduced in the last application update. You can now manually download a new version of the update utility.
Due to the large volume of additional files required for the EDGAR 23.3 Release, a problem occurred within GoFiler Completes update utility. The update utility within GoFiler Complete was exiting abruptly during the clean-up stage of the update process. The update process was then failing to launch the application after completing the update. Note that the application does complete the update, and you can launch the application manually as you normally would.
Users can download a new version of the Updater Utility. While the issue only affected GoFiler Complete, the Updater Utility has been updated for all members of the GoFiler Suite.
After downloading the update, unzip the files and place the extracted executable (.exe) file in your GoFiler installation directory (for example, C:\Program Files (x86)\GoFiler Complete).
The problem will also resolve itself during subsequent releases of GoFiler, so users can opt to wait. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
