The SEC announced that the Interactive Data Test Suite has been updated. For a summary of changes, see the change log in the last section of the summary file.
The purpose of the public test suite is to help filers that are using software to validate interactive data prior to its submission to the EDGAR system. The test suite comprises a number of small interactive data instances, schemas, and linkbases that are categorized as to whether they violate a validation check, and if so, what validation check they violate and whether that would result in a warning or in an error that would cause the data to be rejected. Registrants are urged to use the interactive data test suite to identify potential errors so they may be corrected before actual submission to EDGAR. This test suite update does not indicate SEC approval of any potential regulatory changes related to the EDGAR Filer Manual. Visit the SEC’s EDGAR Filer Manual webpage for updated information on when the SEC approves changes related to the EDGAR Filer Manual.
Interested parties may submit comments on the test suite via email to StructuredData@sec.gov with “Interactive Data Test Suite” as the subject.
