The SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance will hold an open meeting via webcast on sec.gov that will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. ET. The meeting is free and open for the public to attend and will cover matters concerning special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs). {expires: 2024-01-25}
During the meeting, the Division of Corporation Finance will consider adopting new rules and amendments to enhance transparency requirements and provide additional investor protections in initial public offerings by SPACs and in subsequent business combination transactions between SPACs and target companies (de-SPAC transactions). The Division will also discuss investor protection concerns regarding shell companies.
