On March 5th, the FERC announced that will incorporate the XBRL changes required under Order No. 898 into its 2024 annual XBRL update cycle. Included in this update cycle are the release of a draft taxonomy and related codesets in November 2024. The new XBRL taxonomy will be applicable for filings made next year.
Interested parties may submit suggestions in XBRLview.FERC.gov through the end of February 2025. The final taxonomy will be available in March 2025 and will be effective with the 2025 First Quarter FERC Form No. 3-Q filings, which are due in late May and early June 2025.
