The SEC’s Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation is hosting the 43rd Annual Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation. The forum is an event for members of the public and private sectors to gather and discuss capital raising and develop suggestions for policy impacting emerging businesses and their investors. The remote meeting will take place April 16-18, with each session beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET each day and lasting 90 minutes.
Speakers at the forum will discuss the following topics:
- April 16: Amplifying Early-Stage Stories
- April 17: Opening the Dialogue on Investing
- April 18: Catching up with Small Caps
Registration allows participants the opportunity to prioritize policy recommendations and ask questions live during the virtual event. The public also may view the broadcast live each day on sec.gov without registering.
Following each day’s session, registered participants will have the opportunity to prioritize capital-raising policy recommendations to the SEC and Congress. After the event, a report with the compiled recommendations will be delivered to Congress. The 2023 Forum Report summarizing the proceeding and recommendations of participants was released on Sept. 26, 2023.
