The SEC’s Office of the Chief Accountant has announced an open meeting on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The meeting is open for the public to attend and will be webcast on sec.gov. {expires: 2024-08-21}
Staff will discuss whether to approve the following amendments as adopted by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB):
- aspects of designing and performing audit procedures that involve technology-assisted analysis of information in electronic form
- new auditing standard, AS 1000, general responsibilities of the auditor in conducting an audit, and related amendments
- PCAOB Rule 3502 governing contributory liability
