On October 16th, the SEC issued a draft EDGAR Form SHO-specific submission taxonomy related to the adoption of new Form SHO. The Form SHO-specific taxonomy is a collection of XML Schema Definition (.xsd) filers that defines the framework of the Form SHO submission.
Adopted in October 2023, the Short Position and Short Activity Reporting by Institutional Investment Managers final rule requires certain institutional investment managers that meet or exceed designated reporting thresholds monthly to report short position data and short activity data for equity securities using new Form SHO.
The first required filing date is January 2, 2025.
