The SEC is reminding filers that on March 24, 2025, the new EDGAR Filer Management dashboard will go live. In September 2024, the SEC adopted rule and form amendments to EDGAR filer access and account management (EDGAR Next). EDGAR Next is designed to enhance the security of EDGAR, improve filers’ ability to manage their EDGAR accounts, and modernize connections to EDGAR.
Timeline for EDGAR Next Readiness
- September 30, 2024—filers begin to prepare for EDGAR Next changes. The adopting Beta testing environment opens, and will be available through December 19, 2025. Filers must obtain Login.gov individual account credentials and multifactor authentication to have access to the dashboard.
- March 24, 2025 through September 12, 2025—existing filers may enroll in EDGAR Next on the dashboard, while new filers must apply for EDGAR access on the amended Form ID and the dashboard. (If a Form ID application is not granted by the SEC by 10 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2025, EDGAR will suspend it. Applicants whose Form IDs are suspended must re-apply for access on or after Monday, March 24, 2025.) Filers need current passphrase and CIK confirmation code (CCC) to enroll. Click here to obtain these credentials.
- March 24, 2025—the new EDGAR Next Filer Management website with dashboard goes live.
- September 15, 2025—compliance with all EDGAR Next rule and form amendments is required and necessary to file on EDGAR.
