XBRL US will be offering a second IFRS Taxonomy Deep Dive Webinar on August 23rd at 3:00 PM EST. This webinar will cover the IFRS Taxonomy and SEC rules requiring foreign private issuers to file their financials in XBRL format.
There are differences between the US GAAP and IFRS Taxonomies that filers, XBRL tool developers, and data aggregators should understand before December 2017, when the SEC’s XBRL filing requirements begin to affect some filers.
The deep dive webinar is a one-hour session that will provide demonstrations of IFRS XBRL instance documents and the IFRS Taxonomy, as well as responses to questions pertaining to the use of the IFRS Taxonomy. Those who attend can also submit their own questions. Jill Davis, Associate Chief Accountant from the SEC’s Division of Corporate Finance, and Walter Hamscher, Senior IT Program Manager from the SEC’s Office of Structured Disclosure, will speak on behalf of the SEC. Campbell Pryde, CEO of XBRL US, will moderate the session.
The webinar is free to attend. Register at XBRL US.
An archived replay of the first IFRS deep dive webinar is available on the XBRL US website.
