On March 27th, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) announced that the eForms system has been updated with Version 2026-04-01 taxonomies, validation rules, and rendering files.
FERC Form filings due after March 26, 2026 must be filed using the updates implemented in Version 2026-04-01. They include:
- 2025 calendar year FERC Form No. 714
- 2025 calendar year FERC Form No. 60
- 2026 quarterly FERC Form Nos. 3-Q (electric and gas) and 6-Q
- 2026 calendar year FERC Form Nos. 1, 1-F, 2, 2-A and 6
The proposed updates in draft version 2026-01-01 were adopted in full. To view those items, visit the eForms Refresh webpage, and scroll down to the Current Status note dated December 16, 2025.
The following incremental changes were made to the official taxonomies in Version 2026-04-01:
- In FERC Form No. 1, the header for Column C on Page 320 (Electric Operation and Maintenance Expenses) duplicated the column index marker (c). This taxonomy version corrects the error.
Additionally, the following minor changes were made to taxonomy packages in Version 2026-04-01, including rendering code and validation code:
- In FERC Form No. 60, a table of contents rendering issue prevented the links to Schedule 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 from functioning properly. The rendering code in this taxonomy package corrects the error.
