On September 10th, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) staff released proposed technical and other conforming enhancements for the 2027 SEC Reporting Taxonomy, along with related release notes for public review and comment. The proposed improvements include updates to a document label and references to support clearer element selection.
To help improve the process for creating and using XBRL-structured financial statements, the SEC staff encourages filers, investors, analysts, and software service providers to participate in the public review. Interested parties may comment on the proposed improvements through October 30, 2026. To email feedback to FASB, click here.
