On April 1, 2019, EDGAR Release 19.1.1 was released by the Securities and Exchange Commission. This release included a new “confidential” flag for NPORT-P and NPORT-NP filings as well as changes to the Dissemination Rule for N-PORT filings. Additionally, filers are now allowed submit NPORT-EX as an attachment to NPORT-P and NPORT-NP after August 31, 2019.
N-PORT
This release implements changes to the filing requirements for N-PORT forms. NPORT-P must now be filed 60 calendar days following the month indicated in the period date of the submission. NPORT-NP must not be filed within and up to 60 calendar days after the end of a fund’s fiscal quarter. The first six months of NPORT-P and NPORT-P/A filings are still non-public.
The following changes were made per Commission Release 33-10607:
- Filers must indicate that NPORT-P and NPORT-P/A submissions are non-confidential, and that NPORT-NP and NPORT-NP/A submissions are confidential.
- Filers can submit NPORT-EX as an attachment for submission form types NPORT-P and NPORT-P/A with a period date after August 31, 2019. NPORT-EX and NPORT-EX/A filings with period dates after August 31, 2019 will be suspended.
- The Dissemination Rule for submission form types NPORT-P and NPORT-P/A has been updated to immediately disseminate the filings including attachments if those filings pass EDGAR validations and have a period date after August 31, 2019.

Version 4.26b (released on Friday, March 29) of the GoFiler family addresses these changes to EDGAR.
