Version 5.2a of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR 20.1 and contains changes to various EDGAR forms. Additionally, changes and improvements have been made to the Find and Replace and Proof to Browser functions and to Risk Return XDX. It also includes a new function, the ID Manager, to help manage and correct duplicate IDs inside HTML documents.

New Release (5.2a) for the GoFiler Family of Products

GoFiler Complete 5.2a
General EDGAR Updates
– Updated to EDGAR 20.1.
– Added an Embed Images option to the Proof To Browser function for projects.
Form ATS-N Updates
– Part III, Item 16: The explanation field c is now required regardless of the answer to question b.
Text View/ASCII
– Improved the Replace With field so that a coding error (such as searching for “\r\n”) will no longer cause an erroneous message box to appear or the application to crash.
– Made improvements to Find when using the Match Whole Words Only option.
– Added the HTML Item Properties on when double-clicking the <SPAN> tag.
Page View and HTML
– Corrected an issue with extra spaces being introduced in to the code when the code side of the HTML is rewrapped.
– Made improvements to the Find function.
– Improved validation of EDGAR archive links.
– Added an ID Manager function to aid with XDX/iXBRL and to help fix HTML files with non-compliant namespaces.
XBRL View
– Updated to the latest version of the EDGAR renderer.
– Added validation for DQC rules 82 and 83.
– Improved error reporting for multiple classes of stock to better match the SEC validation.

– Custom elements will now be added to the standard Risk/Return presentations when creating XFR or an inline XBRL document.
– A new Risk/Return Options section has been added to the “Advanced...” display options when tagging a Block or Inline Fact.
