XBRL US seeks public review and comment on thirteenth release of the Data Quality Committee (DQC) rules. The goal of the DQC rulesets is to help filers limit mistakes and avoid data inconsistencies that can adversely affect analysis of reported financial information.
The rules in this release apply to the IFRS taxonomy and are as follows:
DQC_0098 (Liability Revenue Recognized)
This rule identifies where the element ContractWithCustomerLiabilityRevenueRecognized (Contract with Customer, Liability, Revenue Recognized) has a value that is greater than the value of ContractWithCustomerLiability reported in the instance.
DQC_0099 (FS with No Associated Calculation)
This rule identifies where an element is defined in the presentation linkbase of the filing for the Income Statement, the Balance Sheet, the Statement of Cash Flows, and the Statement of Comprehensive Income if it is reported separately.
DQC_0100 (Invalid Consolidation Axis)
This rule identifies where the filer has reported a fact value which uses the axis InvestmentsByConsolidatedAndNonconsolidatedEntitiesAxis and reports an error if any other facts that use this axis exist. This rule only exists for the 2020 IFRS taxonomy.
The public review period for these proposed rules runs through September 17th, 2020. Rules are considered for approval within 45 days of public review and effective 90 days from approval. To make comments, you must be a member of XBRL US.
