On April 1, 2021, the SEC will begin only accepting internet connections from networks using Transport Layer Security (TLS) settings at version 1.2 or higher. This move has been made to strengthen network security controls.
All SEC websites will be affected, in particular:
The SEC advises filers to verify that their network settings meet this security level and take appropriate steps prior to this deadline to avoid any impact on submitting filings or access to SEC systems. Filers may contact Filer Support with any questions Monday through Friday (except federal holidays), 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET, (202) 551-8900, option 3.
GoFiler itself is not impacted by this change; there is no need to update the software to address this. As long as you are set to use TLS 1.2 in your Internet Options in Windows, GoFiler will continue to operate as normal.
