FERC to Host Virtual Conference to Discuss Electrification and the Grid of the Future

The FERC has announced that it will hold a virtual technical conference to foster communication between its Commissioners and stakeholders. The two entities will discuss the transition from non-electric to electric sources of energy at the point of final consumption, for example, to: 1) fuel vehicles; 2) heat and cool homes and businesses, and 3) provide process heat at industrial facilities.

The event will be held remotely on Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EDT. The webcast is free, open to the public, and registration is not required to attend. A supplemental notice with further details regarding the agenda and any logistical changes will be issued prior to the remote workshop. The conference will be transcribed, and transcripts will be available for sale from Ace Reporting, (202) 347-3700. Information will also be updated on FERC’s Calendar of Events on ferc.gov.
